On July 21, 2017, at the invitation of Professor Cao Liangzhi of the school of nuclear science and techn-ology of Xi'an Jiaotong University, Dr. Hou Jiayu of North Carolina State University brought a lecture report  on "Majors and Engineering Majors of North Carolina State University and their International Exchanges" to undergraduates and postgraduates of the school of nuclear science and technology.

In the report, Dr. Hou not only described his experience of studying abroad, but also shared his growth,  harvest, and feelings in the process of studying abroad. The history, teaching and living environment of North Carolina State University are introduced in detail with pictures and text. The report introduces in detail the strong tutor team of nuclear engineering and the research direction of each tutor, as well as the equipment and instruments of nuclear engineering: including the first university reactor in the United States, radiation detection system and thermal hydraulic bench, etc.

At the end of the report, Dr. Hou answered the students' concerns in detail. Including study and life abroad, study abroad policy of North Carolina State University, joint training policy, postdoctoral policy, employment, and job opportunities, etc. The students gave warm applause for the wonderful introduction and detailed answers, which put a complete end to this report.
